Norton safe search is a security program from Norton that helps Internet users know if websites they are going to visit are a risk or not. This is vital because nearly every day there are reports of identity thefts and financial assets being taken from computers by malware and ransomware that was downloaded from dangerous websites.

Norton utilizes a feedback from the community system to monitor the Web. Users can review the way websites function and if something suspicious happens browsing these sites. In addition, site owners can submit their own websites for evaluation. If they meet certain requirements and requirements, they can get the Norton Secured Seal, which lets users know that the site is safe and reliable.

You can show ratings for safety next to every search result within the browser with the Norton Safe Search Extension for Google Chrome. This offers you the highest level of protection from identity thieves, phishing websites and online viruses. The extension is light and won’t slow your computer.

One major disadvantage is that Norton’s ratings aren’t included in the search results for videos, images, and news. This is a pity due to the importance of these types of results to a user’s experience when searching. It would be ideal to see Norton’s ratings included in the results of search results for ads, as they are often malware-infested or frauds using phishing. It is still a good option to guard against the risks associated with online shopping and browsing.
